Pregnancy Weeks

Ultrasound Scan At The 37th Week Of Pregnancy

The 37 weeks pregnancy ultrasound will be the last one before the birth. The doctor will check you to see if you are seeping amniotic fluid or any other anomaly. Baby will be growing rapidly at this stage gaining half to one ounce a day. It becomes important that you eat well as the baby directly depends on you for nourishment. The diet has to be rich in calcium, protein, and vitamins. You may not realise when your body goes into labour.  Once you start feeling definite contractions that can be timed, you will know you are in labour. But your body starts dilating and effacing well before you can actually feel it.

Babies With Low Birth Weight

When a baby comes kicking and screaming into this world at a healthy eight pounds, parents worry about it's vulnerability. This worry is compounded by yhe parents of preemies... tiny babies weighing 8 lb 5oz typically born before 37 weeks gestation.
Just over 10% of babies born in the US are low birth weight, which increase the risk of infection, slower develolpement rates and even death. According to the US Centres for Desease Control and Prevention, the number of babies born between the late preterm period of 36 - 38 weeks has risen to 20% sinse 1990.

38 Weeks 3 Days Of Pregnancy

The average pregnancy lasts between 37 weeks and 41 weeks 6 days. A baby born on 38 weeks 3 days of pregnancy is born during week 39 of pregnancy. Once you have passed your due date, you may wonder whether your baby will arrive later than 42 weeks, or post-term. The majority of babies will be born two weeks before or two weeks after the due date. The American Congress Of Obstetricians And Gynaecologist's (ACOG) does not consider a pregnancy overdue until 42 weeks.

1 Week 0 Days Of Pregnancy

Week 1 of pregnancy begins on 0 weeks 1 day and ends on 1 week 0 days of pregnancy. As you pass your due date, particularly after week 41 of pregnancy, you may need to be seen more than once a week. You should be alert for any signs of labour as you enter Week 37, as your baby could be born two week before or after the due date. During week 39 of pregnancy, your estimated due date is still a week away. As you enter your twenty-sixth week of pregnancy and draw closer to the end of the second trimester, you may be feeling great one day and terrible the next. Right around your 20th week of pregnancy, an ultrasound can answer that big question for you.

Pregnancy Outcome And Maternal Health

An early pregnancy before 20 years and an excessive weight gain during it will increase the risk of stretch marks related to pregnancy. From your first prenatal appointment, you will hear all about what you should be eating and drinking during pregnancy, like calcium and folic acid. Self care in pregnancy, though very important, is overlooked by many moms-to-be. During the next two weeks, the baby is still growing, it is important to ensure your intake of proper nutrients, along with folic acid, vitamins, and calcium is continuing. As you finish your first trimester, you will begin to notice many changes with your body, including stretch marks. In addition to a regular prenatal care visit, you may also be given special tests to check on your baby.
